Parents of students at Markham Woods Middle School in Seminole County, Florida received an email explaining there was a black bear in a tree at their children’s school. The kids undoubtedly thought it was cooler than their parents did. The teachers made the best of the situation, calling it an educational experience.

“The kids were super excited,” Kendyl Thomas Williams, a teacher at the school, told local news in an interview. “It’s a great adventure. It’s an experience.” Williams even named the bear “Wriggly.”
Thankfully, the bear wasn’t seeking humans out; it was just taking a nap (a long nap). Wildlife officials didn’t interfere, and the bear left peacefully on its own a mere 10 hours later. Local FOX News streamed the moment the bear left the tree live on its YouTube channel.
